The Industry Day at ECSA 2014 will bring together researchers and practicing architects from local, European and worldwide communities who will share best-practices, pitfalls and their professional experiences in designing, implementing and reviewing software architectures. In particular, the program will feature cutting edge technical domains like big data, cloud computing, embedded systems, mobile, and social web. Keynotes will feature lessons learned and best practices from enterprise-scale industry projects; furthermore there will be invited talks, tutorials, and interactive formats such as Birds-of-a-Feather meetings (BoFs).
With this program, Industry Day at ECSA 2014 will help bridge the gap between academia and industrial practice by establishing an open communication and discussion environment. The ECSA 2014 Industry Day offers researchers and practitioners the opportunity to get in touch with fellow professionals and go home with new ideas and skills for industrial problems, research proposals, or validation opportunities.
The detailed program of the ECSA 2014 Industry Day will be published in spring 2014 (exact date tba). If you have a story to tell or an architecture experience to share, please contact the program co-chairs:
- Olaf Zimmermann, ozimmerm (at) hsr (dot) ch
- Uwe van Heesch, uwe (at) vanheesch (dot) net
or reach us via the general conference chair. If you would like to submit a full paper about a practical topic, we encourage you to submit to the main ECSA conference, which accepts industrial contributions, for instance in the form of experience reports from the professional architecting practice.
